5000 kJ Rockfall Barrier

The Class 8 rockfall barrier – 5000 kJ Category A is a product in compliance with ETAG 027 and has been designed for the protection from rockfall with impact energies up to 5000 kJ.  The capacity of energy absorption at the Maximum Energy Level (MEL) and Service Energy Level (SEL) has been certified in test bed, equipped with a rope way, since the publication of the ETAG 027 guidelines (January 2008).

The body which has certified the correct execution of the crash test conforming to ETAG 027 is the Montanuniversität Leoben of Leoben (A).
